Lingfield Park Racecourse is looking forward to welcoming fans back to watch live horse racing. Things might be a little different to 'normal' as we follow the latest Government guidelines to welcome spectators back in a Covid-secure way.
We ask that you work together with our staff to ensure it’s a safe event, whilst also being a great day out.
Before you arrive
Your responsibilities as a spectator, are as follows;
- If you display any Covid 19 symptoms, on the day you are due to attend the racecourse, please email, info@lingfieldpark.co.uk to receive a full refund. You can not attend the meeting, neither can any member of your social bubble or household.
- All guests MUST adhere to the requirements of the racecourse Code Of Conduct and all social distancing protocols
- Ensure you have completed the test and trace requirements
What should I expect when I arrive at the course?
Spectators are encouraged to use private transport where possible. Face masks will be compulsory (unless medically exempt) throughout the event except whilst eating or drinking.
Your temperature may be taken.
Transport
You can arrive at the racecourse on foot, by public transport and by car with your own household or support bubble.
Car parking and entrance areas are as follows:
General Public & Annual Members entry. Parking will be in the public car park on racecourse road. Entrance in to the course with be via the main turnstile entrance opposite the car park
Please follow signage and directions from stewards on the day.
Before you set off
Make sure you have your e-ticket, mask and photographic ID.
Face Masks
You will need to wear your facemask at all times within the racecourse, other than when consuming food and beverage at a seated location.
Dress code
The dress code is smart/ casual with no denim or sportswear.
Your Safety
Bag searches at the turnstiles will be in operation. No food or drink can be brought into the racecourse. Please be advised Bags larger than A4 will not be permitted.
Food and Drink
Consumption of Alcohol – A range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks can be purchased from our bars and outlets. These must be consumed when seated. Alcohol can be served without the need to provide a substantial meal or table service, however, moderate consumption levels are advised and at the discretion of the serving personnel. We have taken steps to reduce queues for ordering and ensure social distancing is maintained at all times. Bars will close at the start of the last race.
- Indoor areas, only household or support bubbles can sit together
- Rule of six applies to all outside areas
- Card payment only (no cash option)
Annual Members – Can have access to any outlet, however, complimentary tea & coffee will be served to tables in the usual Annual Members bar or as a takeaway option from Championship corner (to the right of the sports bar entry) upon showing your metal badge.
Fish & Chips package (pre-order) - This will be served in the Sports bar as a seated restaurant. There are three pre-agreed timeslots available for each fixture. Please note that whilst seated indoors you are required to sit within your households or support bubbles.
Fish & Chips (takeaway) – This outlet will be opened with a socially distanced queuing process for the purchase of food and soft drinks to take away.
Brasserie Restaurant– Our brasserie bistro menu includes a selection of jacket potatoes, hearty chilli and pie and mash. A full range of soft and alcoholic beverages are available to be ordered and consumed at the table on a first-come and first-served basis.
Grandstand Bar & restaurant – Our piglets pantry bistro and grandstand bar will be serving hot jacket potatoes, chilli and pies plus a full range of soft and alcoholic beverages. Beverages must only be consumed when seated.
Championship Corner – A takeaway service with socially distanced queuing will be available for hot drinks, soft drinks and a range of sweets, cakes and snacks.
Bakehouse takeaway outlets – serving a selection of takeaway hot beverages, cakes and snacks.
General attendance bars will close at the last.
Smoking
If you smoke, please use the designated smoking circles on the lawns.
Racecards
As a Covid secure venue, we are unable to provide any printed material. Racecards are available from At The Races.
Cashless Venue
The racecourse will operate as a cashless venue, we will not accept cash at any of our bars or payment points. The on-course Bookmakers will be accepting cash. The ATMS’s will not be in operation, so if you wish to place a bet with a bookmaker please bring this with you.
Betting
We are delighted to welcome back Tote betting on-course.
There will be Tote kiosks throughout the racecourse offering the full range of bets on all UK and Irish racing.
Bets can be placed via debit card or via mobile, though a cash service with the Tote will be available if needed. You also have the option to bet with the Tote website on your mobile phone.
End of the day
The racecourse respectfully requests you leave the racecourse and make your way safely directly home and continue to follow social distancing guidelines and Tier 2 protocols.
