The horse racing fan and self-proclaimed fashion fanatic showcased some of her favourite outfits for fellow racegoers at a recent photoshoot here at Lingfield Park.
Georgia, said: “I absolutely love horse racing! It is one of the few occasions us ladies – and men for that matter! – can dress up and enjoy a great day or night of sport. “It is such a fun day, whether you’re with friends or family, there is so much to do, most of all seeing all the beautiful horses. I would encourage everyone to attend their local race meeting this summer – you will not be disappointed!” Ladies' Evening features seven flat races including a Silk Series Lady Riders Handicap – part of a £10,000 race series specifically for female jockeys.
David Toulson-Burke, Lingfield Park’s Executive Director said the team were thrilled to see Georgia during her recent visit. “Ladies Evening here at Lingfield is always well-attended and is the perfect event to meet up with a group of friends for some great racing followed by our Hooves & Grooves musical entertainment afterwards." He also commented, "Dressing to impress is very much part of the evening and it is great to see such a well-known face getting behind the Great British Racing campaign.”
Gates open at 3:45pm, with the first race at 5:45pm and the final race at 8:45pm. Once the racing is finished, Kylie Minogue tribute act ‘Miss Kylie’ will be taking centre stage as the entertainment continues.
Deciding on what to wear to Ladies' Evening can seem never-ending, heels or wedges? Hat or no hat? Dress or skirt? Well, Great British Racing got Toff's top 5 fashion tips on how to be effortlessly fashionable at the races.....
1. Comfortable shoes
Never wear shoes that are too incommodious – remember you will be on your feet for the majority of the day going back and forth from the parade ring so comfort is crucial. A mid-height block heel is a fabulous option as it looks adequate but is still comfortable.
2. Be bold
Don’t be afraid to stand out of the crowd by wearing a bold colour or print. A day at the races is a wonderful opportunity to put on our finery, which we hardly get to wear nowadays, so don’t shy away from a bold hat and jacket.
3. Jumpsuits
I am a really big fan of wearing a jumpsuit to the races. They are a perfect alternative to a dress, and always looks fresh and smart at the same time.
4. Have fun with your hat
Have fun with your hat! Let it display your personality and make a statement with it. We hardly wear hats so I always think the races is a fantastic occasion to inject a bit of exuberance in your headpiece.
5. The whole look
Always think about your outfit as a whole look, don’t focus on separate pieces – for example, just the dress or the hat. Think about it as an entire concept – that way it will have fluidity from the top to the bottom.
