Accidental Agent and Librisa Breeze, both successful in G1 races at Ascot, feature among a full field of 14 for the £45,000 Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Hyde Stakes (6.10pm) at Kempton Park on Wednesday, November 20.
The mile Polytrack contest is a Fast-Track Qualifier for Finals Day, with the winner receiving a free and guaranteed place in the £150,000 Bombardier All-Weather Mile Championship at Lingfield Park on Good Friday, April 10.
Accidental Agent, trained by Eve Johnson Houghton and owned by her mother Gaie, was eighth in the 2017 Hyde Stakes but progressed to capture the G1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot in June, 2018.
The five-year-old won on his only other All-Weather appearance, taking a seven-furlong handicap at Kempton Park in September, 2017, and returns to Polytrack after coming home third on turf in the Listed Ben Marshall Stakes at Newmarket on November 2. Charles Bishop, who has partnered the son of Delegator throughout his career, takes the ride.
Oxfordshire-based Johnson Houghton said: "Accidental Agent is in good form and we are looking forward to the Hyde Stakes. We have been pleased with his preparation and he ran well at Newmarket on his latest start.
"He has won at Kempton before so we know he likes and handles the track - if he jumps off with the others then hopefully he has a good chance on Wednesday!
"If he goes well in this event we might consider bringing him back for the All-Weather Championships Finals. He could also go abroad, so hopefully he can do well over the next few months."
Librisa Breeze (Joey Haynes), one of two runners for Dean Ivory, was successful in the G1 British Champions Sprint at Ascot in October, 2017, and has won on three of his four All-Weather starts, most recently when striking at Wolverhampton in April, 2016.
Flaming Spear (Ben Curtis) is aiming to become the first dual winner of the Hyde Stakes after staying on well to score for Ivory 12 months ago. The seven-year-old has made three subsequent appearances, all on turf, including a close fifth in the seven-furlong G2 Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood in July.
Oh This Is Us (Tom Marquand) has twice placed at G2 level on turf and has gained three All-Weather victories, headed by success in last season's Bombardier All-Weather Mile Championship.
The six-year-old's trainer Richard Hannon is also represented by War Glory (Hollie Doyle), who has been in superb form on the All-Weather this year, with five handicap wins this year including when getting up on the line in the valuable Chelmsford City Cup in August.
David Elsworth is also set to be double-handed, with Newbury G3 scorer Dandhu (Gerald Mosse) and Ripp Orf (Liam Keniry), successful in the 2018 Victoria Cup heritage handicap at Ascot, both lining up for the Newmarket handler
Khuzaam (Roger Varian/Jim Crowley) stormed to a seven-length success in a mile handicap at Kempton Park on October 16, while Via Serendipity (Stuart Williams/Adam Kirby) also scored over the same course and distance in an optional claiming handicap on his latest start.
Other contenders include G3 runner-up Preening (James Fanshawe/David Probert) and lightly-raced three-year-old Set Piece (Hugo Palmer/James Doyle), who finished down the field in the G1 2,000 Guineas on his penultimate start.
Makzeem (Roger Charlton/Jason Watson) and I Could Do Better (Ian Williams/Hector Crouch) were both fourth in turf Listed races on their most recent starts, with two-time All-Weather winner Lush Life (Jamie Osborne/Nicola Currie) completing the field.
An eight-race card at Kempton Park on Wednesday gets underway at 4.10pm and runs through until 7.40pm.
