Autism in Racing are delighted to be working with Lingfield Park racecourse to host their first Autism-Friendly day on Saturday 16th September.

Autism in Racing was launched in May 2021 by Northern based racing journalist, Bobby Beevers after his daughter, Sophia, was diagnosed with Autism in the first lockdown. Beevers himself went on his own personal journey 12 months afterwards and was diagnosed with Autism himself.

Autism in Racing have also teamed up with Immersive Interactive who will provide a mobile sensory room on the day. Immersive have been huge supporters of Autism in Racing and the strong trusting relationship continues to get stronger as they work together on giving autistic individuals and their families the opportunity to come racing, who most likely may have not been able to attend before.

Carly Jones MBE will be hosting the day. She's autistic herself and does fantastic work in supporting the Autism community for which she was rightly honoured.

Autism in Racing are also delighted to partner up with A2nd Voice, who'll be attending on the day. The charity  are a not-for-profit organisation supporting the needs of autistic people and their families, raising awareness and understanding from different perspectives, outreaching also to the Africa, Caribbean, Asian, and Minority Ethnic Communities (ACAME) and Dual Heritage Communities in tackling the taboos and myths around Autism.

Dr Carly Jones MBE - British Autism Advocate says

"It is a joy to be able to support  Autism in Racing; their work to make Racing accessible, equitable and most importantly enjoyable for Autistic people and their families is vitally needed U.K. wide "
