Easter is approaching and this year Good Friday falls on 3rd April, with the bank holiday weekend running through to Easter Monday on 6th April. If you’re looking for things to do in Surrey over the Easter weekend, we are on a mission to make Good Friday great with the family focused All-Weather Vase Day.

The All-Weather Vase Day is as much about the family fun as the thrilling action on the race track.
The ultimate Easter family day out that won’t break the bank, under 18s attend for FREE and there will be FREE family entertainment all afternoon including fun fair rides, an Easter egg hunt, daffodil stilt walkers, live music and urban dance performances. The only activity which carries a small fee is face painting, which has been subsidised at 50 percent.

What is the All-Weather Championship Vase Day?
All-weather horse racing is a form of flat racing that takes place on our polytrack, a synthetic horse track designed to provide a safe all-weather footing.
Now in its thirteenth year, the All Weather Championship Vase Days sees a range of apprentice jockeys compete across six handicap Class 3 or 4 races. To qualify for the Vase Day here at Lingfield Park, horses have had a minimum of three runs on all-weather tracks in Great Britain, Ireland, France and America; and also have had one run in Dubai or Saudi Arabia.
For seasoned racegoers, it promises lively racing and for those new to the sport, the infectious thrill of horses galloping towards the finish line is as impressive as it is infectious.

Make the most of your day
Gates open at 11:30, with plenty of time to enjoy some of the entertainment before the first race gets underway at 13:30. After a whole afternoon of entertainment and fun, the final race of the day is at 17:00.
There are a host of different ticket and hospitality packages to save some money and enhance the day.

We know the British weather can be unpredictable, so, on Good Friday, if it rains during the period from when gates open to the end of the last race, you could be invited back to an alternative raceday, on us!

Make a weekend of it with other Local Easter Activities
